This policy explains what personal data Hobobi collects, why, and what you can do about it. Hobobi is operated by Carlos E. Seijas.
What we collect
When you submit the contact form: your name, email address, phone number if provided, project type, budget range and the message you write.
When you use the chat assistant: the messages you send, an anonymous session identifier stored in your browser, the page you were on and your chosen language.
Automatically: standard server logs and aggregate analytics such as pages visited, approximate region and device type. We do not build advertising profiles.
Why we collect it
To answer your enquiry and prepare a quote. To improve the assistant by reviewing what people actually ask. To keep the site secure and working.
The legal basis is your consent when you submit a form, and our legitimate interest in operating and securing the site.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your data. It is processed by the services that make the site work: our hosting provider, Cloudflare for delivery and security, our email provider for correspondence, and our self-hosted automation server for handling form submissions and chat.
The AI assistant sends your messages to a language model provider to generate a reply. Do not share passwords, financial details or sensitive personal information in the chat.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept for as long as the commercial relationship lasts, and up to three years afterwards for accounting and reference. Chat transcripts are kept up to twelve months. You can ask us to delete them sooner.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you also have the right to object to processing, to restrict it, and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
To exercise any of these, email us. We reply within thirty days.
Cookies
This site does not use advertising or tracking cookies. We store a theme preference and a chat session identifier in your browser. Both stay on your device and can be cleared at any time from your browser settings.
Children
This site is intended for businesses. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under sixteen.
